Admission Requirements
GCU Online

GCU offers two undergraduate programs and two graduate programs fully online:

  • B.S. in Business Administration
  • B.A. in Criminal Justice
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • M.A. in Holistic Health Studies
  • GCU Certificate in Holistic Health Studies

Application Requirements—Online Programs at Georgian Court University

Undergraduate (Business Administration or Criminal Justice)

  • Completed application (online or paper)
  • $40 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges/universities
  • Students with fewer than 24 credits must also submit their high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (any major is acceptable)
  • Completed online application for admission
  • Official transcripts of each undergraduate and graduate institution you have attended, either in sealed, signed envelopes or via electronic submission directly from the registrar’s office
  • One letter of recommendation from an academic or professional reference (on letterhead)
  • Statement of objectives or personal statement stating academic and professional goals
  • Current résumé
  • An interview with program staff

M.A. or GCU Certificate Program in Holistic Health Studies

  • A bachelor’s degree (any major) from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Completed online application for admission
  • Official transcripts of each undergraduate and graduate institution you have attended, either in sealed, signed envelopes or via electronic submission directly from the registrar’s office
  • Three letters of recommendation from academic or professional references
  • Statement of objectives or personal statement stating academic and professional goals
  • An interview with program staff

Undergraduate Transfer Credit: We are proud to be one of New Jersey’s most transfer-friendly institutions. We will consider you for admission if you have an associate degree from an accredited community college or at least 60 transferable credits from another accredited institution. You must have earned a grade of C or higher in any course for it to be eligible for transfer.

Graduate Transfer Credit: GCU’s policy allows for a maximum of 6 transfer credits for master’s degree programs.

Prerequisite Courses—Master of Business Administration (MBA)

For the Master in Business Administration (MBA), you should have some academic preparation in business administration. If you do not have the necessary background, you may need to complete the Common Professional Component and pass with a B or better prior to beginning your program.

Prerequisite Courses—M.A. in Holistic Health Studies

For the M.A. in Holistic Health Studies, you should have some academic preparation in behavioral or health-related sciences. If you do not have the necessary background, you must complete HH500 Anatomy and Physiology: A Holistic Approach and pass with a B or better prior to beginning your M.A. program.
